Muppets Creator Jim Henson Remembered by Google
Posted on 24. Sep, 2011 by dimaks in Web
September 24 is supposed to be the 75th birthday of muppets creator Jim Henson. Google remembers this by dedicating a Google Doodle, as you can see in your Google homepage today. It’s an animated and interactive image of puppets that interact with its own expression, by the click of your mouse. Take a look at the image below:
The brilliant Doodle above is a product of collaboration between Google and The Jim Henson Company. The creation was conceptualized for the users online to have a sort of experience of Henson Digital Puppet Studio, i.e. using the software called “Sid the Science Kid“.
Mr. Henson is the genius behind many of the beautifully designed puppet entertainment that we can find nowadays. This includes Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, as well as movies that featured Muppet personalities that even lived after Henson’s death in 1990. Jim Henson is the voice behind Miss Piggy, Yoda, Elmo, Big Bird and also Kermit the Frog.
To whatever glory that the works of Jim Henson have gained during his life in the industry, may his work continue to entertain us, just like before, and down to the latest generation.
