Google Doodle for Martha Graham’s 117th Birthday

Google celebrates the 117th birthday of one of the foremost pioneers of modern dance, Martha Graham. She is a dancer choreographer, whose influence on the dance genre has been treated like the influences of Picasso on visual arts and Frank Lloyd Wright on architecture.

May 11 marks the 117th birthday of Martha. Her early life was spent in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of George Graham, the man who was known as the “Alienist” – due to his practice of the early form of psychiatry.
