Technology Predictions for 2010

Seasons greetings to all! Hereby sharing to you an overview of what we call the future technology for the year 2010, brought to us by UK’s top online news, Telegraph (telegraph.co.uk).
First, it is predicted that year 2010 will be the “Rise of the tablet computer (lead by Apple)” . This projection stems from rumored products from the top computing companies including Microsoft. Hence we have the talk of the town, Apple tablet computer and Microsoft’s Courier tablet. Along the same track are Asustek and Dell, predicted by Shane Richmond.
Next, 2010 is seen to demonstrate the bright future for On-demand TV. This prediction by Emma Barnett takes off from the success of Freeview in 2002.
Third thing to boot for the year 2010 is the rise of micro-blogging tools or platforms. Matt Warman cites the robust emergence of real-time information, on how they become available almost instantly, right before our eyes. Take for example how Twitter brought this revolution to our social networks online.
Moreover, Claudine Beaumont sees 2010 as bumper year for 3D Television technology. The fact that Sky and Panasonic confirm to release 3D TVs soon, the question rises whether the consumers are that willing to ride the stream. Because for sure, people will be needing new television units in order to enjoy 3D pictures.
Lastly, Ian Douglas sees year 2010 as the intimate friendship time between you and your mobile phone. Whether you are out there looking for an online life insurance quotes, favorite restaurant branches and party venues, this coming year is seen to switch our world into the intense integration of mobile phones and GPS technologies. Take for example the already-in-placed applications for iPhones and Android mobiles where you can search for the location of a certain establishment. This phase of technology is also seen to augment the memory burden of forgetful people. Their mobile phones will become their reminding buddy – telling them the names of the people they come across and so on.

My prediction in 2010: Mobile Phone will be mans best friend, because it can be operated anytime, anywhere, anyhow just to share information.
