Manny Pacquiao Quick Quotes on His Fight With Marquez on Nov. 12

A quick peek on fightnews.com made me see this quick quotes from the boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, who is set for the Pacquiao-Marquez Fight for the 3rd time on November 12, which is barely a week to go. Pacquiao’s statements addressed mainly his vital developments as a well-improved fighter, as well as his motivation in general to face Juan Manuel Marquez.
The champ’s statements garnered mixed reactions from online audiences of mixed stands and preferences in boxing. Without further ado, here are Pacman’s words:
This third fight will be the answer to whether or not Marquez got robbed in the other two fights. I never underestimate Marquez. There’s a big difference in me today. I have changed and improved a lot of areas and I’m more dangerous now. I think I’m a lot better now. My power has made a big difference. It’s going to be different for him when he steps in the ring with me. We know his weaknesses but we won’t tell you what they are.
To which his long time trainer, Freddie Roach commented:
I’ve never seen Manny as motivated as I have in this fight.
One commenter in the site said that Manny Pacquiao will only be proving what he can do to fight a 38-year old fighter, on the decline of his prime and have to scale up to two (2) weight classes. Pacquiao should have done this fight 3 years ago, the commenter added. On the other hand, another commenter said that it is Marquez who needs to fight Pacquiao, since the former is the one who issued the challenge.
That quote from Manny Pacquiao did get quite a heated round of arguments but for me, I think it is better to pack the talk and see what happens during the much-awaited fight day. Can Pacquiao beat Marquez? or Will Marquez gain some avenue to say that he did deserve the win during their previous fights? Time will tell really.
