Introducing Martial Combat: Asia’s Ultimate MMA
Posted on 06. Aug, 2010 by dimaks in Sports
Martial Combat is also known as the Resorts World™ Sentosa Martial Combat and it is Asia’s Ultimate Mixed Martial Arts Fighting Championship. Claiming as the top class MMA series in the region, Martial Combat is consist of Mixed Martial Artists fighting for the championship belt and racing to the top to be called as the Martial Combat’s top fighter.
Martial Combat is aired on STAR Sports to more or less 300 million fans cum viewers found in 24 countries. It features top level fighters and they fight like those that we see in the Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC.
It was a fortunate time last night that I happened to hop onto a certain channel where I saw a session of Martial Combat and even watched the main event with Alan Fenandez and Ray Elbe, representing India and US respectively.
And yes, we also got our very own Pinoy fighters in this MMA ground – the proof of which, I saw last night. It was between a chinese lady fighter Yang Xiao Nan up against Filipino Gina Iniong. Too bad that Iniong lost the rumble.
I am yet to see further actions and encounters in this new-found regional conduct of MMA. The same thing with the familiarization of the fighters within the cage of Martial Combat. Later upon finishing this post, I will be reading some profiles of the fighters around.
