The 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa kicks off today, June 11, 2010. You maybe able to watch the 2010 World Cup live stream via ESP channel or Balls on 32 at SkyCable locally.
For the Philippine based world cup well-wishers, the first matches will be happening at 10:00pm tonight and 2:30am tomorrow, for South Africa vs. Mexico and Uruguay vs. France respectively.
For the info bits, the current format of the tournament takes 32 teams to compete for the ultimate title and the events will be happening at different venues within the host nations. The contest will last for about a month until the World Cup Finals gets concluded. The thriving nation will have to beat Brazil, the world’s most successful champions in football with a record of 5 championship titles.
