China’s Tainted Milk Strikes Again
Posted on 15. Aug, 2010 by dimaks in News
Two years have gone and here we go again for the Tainted Milk issue, involving the same country – China. A few days ago, a report was released that China is once again facing allegations pertaining to tainted infant milk formula.
Recent data revealed that there have been 3 infant girls in central city of Wuhan and a fourth in Beijing who became victims of the said tainted infant milk. The poor infants showed some abnormal growths, of breasts in particular due to unusual hormone boost. The doctors suspected that this is somewhat connected to the consumption of the infrant milk formula that is rpoduced by Synutra International (http://www.synutra.com/), a manufacturing company located in the coastal northeastern China.
China’s Ministry of Health promised to undertake full investigation of this issue.
I hope so. Poor infants suffer from this uncontrolled and seemingly poorly regulated production of one of the most delicate and sensitive food products for mankind.
