NASA released the following stunning images of the sun’s activity on April 21. The photos were taken by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) on March 30, 2010. The NASA’s SDO is a sun-studying satellite that gathers volumes of data pertaining to the sun’s activities and behavior. It was launched sometime in February.
The deployment of the said machine and the underlying study of the sun hopes to better understand the sun activities and thus, improve future forecasts of solar activities affecting earth.
