Pinoys in Hong Kong Getting Backlashed?
Posted on 24. Aug, 2010 by dimaks in News
The aftermath of the Quirino Grandstand Hostage taking drama maybe starting to dissipate in a matter of weeks or so but for the Pinoys overseas workers out there in Hong Kong, especially those around 120,000 household service workers (HSWs), the thought of getting back lashed is a possible thing.
But Owwa Administrator Carmelita Dimzon assured that as far as her belief is concerned, Hong Kong nationals are civilized enough not retaliate on the OFWs in their homeland. Here is what Admin Dimzon said in her phone interview by Sunstar;
I don’t think they would get back at our household service workers (HSWs) there. Those are civilized people in Hong Kong and they know that we are not part of the unfortunate incident and that it was an isolated incident.
Thereby the OWWA chief advised the Pinoys in Hong Kong to do their normal works.
