The camp of Floyd Mayweather rejects the final offer of Top Rank promoter Bob Arum regarding the blood testing for both fighters prior to the planned mega fight Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. in early 2010.
With all the buzzes around pertaining to this much anticipated fight, I thought I would be watching the Pacquiao vs Mayweather on March 2010. Anyway, here is the proposition of the Mayweather camp;
Mayweather wanted an Olympic-style blood testing to be supervised by the United States Anti-Doping Agency. Under the set-up, both fighters should agree to as many as five blood and 12 urine tests – randomly.
Here is what the Pacquiao camp has to say;
Pacquiao’s camp said there’s no need for such, and has agreed to three blood tests (one on the first week of January, then 30 days before the match and another after the match, but was again unacceptable to Mayweather.
Much as we would want an epic and extraordinary fight next year, there is nothing we can do but wait for the settlement between the two camps. Let us hope that the Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. Fight will find its way on March 2010.
