Mummified Body Found 2.5 Years After Death

Apparently, there is this woman who did not want to be buried after her death and thus, she was left sitting on her chair, in front of her television set.
According to Hamilton County Coroner O’Dell Owens, Johannas Pope told her caregiver that she did not want to be buried and will be returning to her body after her demise. So perhaps, out of respect and obedience to her patient, the caregiver decided to follow the wish and allowed Pope’s body to stay in her room while an air conditioning system is running on. This made the dead body slowly mummify. It is only until last month when the machine stopped working. Pope’s decomposing body began to emit unwanted smell.
Until now, there is still no clear indication if a crime was committed upon Pope. The police authorities have started investigating on the cause of death for possible foul play.
While Pope’s choice is rather practical or personal so to speak, I think knowing her funeral cost was the least thing in her mind. While we do not know her financial background, the relatives of Johannas Pope could search for affordable but reliable funeral services around their neighborhood.
