Google on Philippine Independence Day
Posted on 12. Jun, 2010 by dimaks in News
Yesterday, I posted about the 2010 FIFA World Cup Google Doodle and today, I am doing the routine again as Google joins the Philippine nation in celebrating Philippine Independence Day (2010) through its Google Doodle of the day. Today, June 12, 2010 marks the 112th celebration of Philippine Independence Day.
Although there are a bunch of controversies clouding from the very leadership of General Emilio Aguinaldo over the early Filipino revolutionary forces, Battle of Manila Bay and Spanish-American War, Philippine Independence Day or “Araw ng Kalayaan” is religiously observed and celebrated by most Filipinos. But anyway, that’s for the history side and perhaps necessitates a separate post, so let us stick to featuring the Google Doodle for Philippine Independence Day.
Here is the Google Doodle for Philippine Independence Day posted at the Google homepage today!Â
The design is very classy and has the native tribal touch in its texture fill. The image of the sun is like a set of petals or a bouquet of sort and I think this image could make a very nice T-shirt print. What do you think?
