    Its not really clear to me what a geodetic engineer does b/c I haven’t seen such programs at US universities. I imagine its a bit like geology and civil engineering combined…. and maybe architecture, too. I guess there’s an advantage to combining the disciplines.

    Wil,
    you hit it right by saying “..bit like geology and civil engineering combined“. they specialize more on geological surveys and engineering. strange how this profession does not seem to exist even in the US, or maybe they are merged with other engineering professions already and not as a distinct one.
