El Nido Resorts Wins Environment Award in China

During the 2011 Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Gold Awards in Beijing, China on April 11, the El Nido Resorts bagged the “Environmental Education Programme Award” for its environmental training program that has already trained more than 800 people on subjects such as biodiversity conservation, environmental legislation, ecological solid waste management, water conservation, and
energy conservation.
El Nido’s environmental care advocacy is called “Be G.R.E.E.N“, where the acronym stands for “Guard, Respect, Educate El Nido“.
PATA gives recognition to institutions who achieved significant landmarks in innovation in the realm of development of travel and tourism.
El Nido was also cited as the “top leisure resorts in Asia since 2006 by the online travel magazine Smart Travel Asia” (GMAnews.tv).
