6.1 Earthquake Hits Manila (Thursday March 25 2010) — A while ago, Manila, Philippines was hit by a magnitude 6.1 earthquake.
According to USGS – United States Geological Survey, the earthquake’s epicenter was located 66 miles (100 km) west of the city of Batangas, south of Manila. By coordinates, the location was at 13.700°N, 119.900°E.
No immediate damages or injuries were reported as of yet. But most of the residents in some CBDs felt the ground shaking for a few seconds.
The earthquake was just 154 kilometers or 96 miles from the heart of Manila, as per USGS report.

i have several relatives who were also vicitimized by the earthquake in Haiti. thank God that they were not seriously hurt. i hope and pray that Haiti would be able to recover soon from this disaster.
