Download The Google Chrome Beta Browser
Posted on 03. Sep, 2008 by dimaks in News
The Google Chrome Browser in Beta is finally here and is ready for download and testing. Google Chrome Web Browser is the Google’s premier project pertaining to its fresh take on the browser revolution. This is your chance to have a peek on the brand new Open Source Internet Surfing Platform that is based on the principle of speed, ease and security. One of the features of the Google Chrome Web Browser is that, the tabs were kept as an isolated “sandbox” and is built in such a way that in times a tab has to crash, the other tabs will stay unaffected. Added to that is a more tightened protection against rogue sites.

Honestly, although I have been a big fan of Mozilla Browsers (read – since 2002), I hate the fact that force halting one of my browser’s tab processes will bring the whole browser down and I needed to reload the opened websites again. Google Chrome seem to have heard my silent protests and it came out with a solution for it.
According to the Google Chrome Browser developers, this new release came with the following:
- improved speed and responsiveness across the board
- built-in V8 – a more powerful JavaScript engine, to power the next generation of web applications that aren’t even possible in today’s browsers.
Right now, they are working on building versions for Mac and Linux.
There is not much for me to say actually except slim, light, fast, easy and smooth. I just downloaded the Google Chrome and still trying to feel the other charms and tricks that came with it. Again, here is to Google Chrome Browser Download.

I’ve downloaded and tried it. It’s definitely lighter and faster than the other browsers but stopped using it when I read this in its TOA:
However, they’ve removed that line already and I’m back to using Chrome. My default browser is still Firefox because I can’t live without the addons/extensions.
