Dora The Explorer – Illegal Immigrant. Nickelodeon cartoon character Dora The Explorer is under a serious case of illegal immigration to the US in the past days or so. The seemingly ridiculous issue maybe rooted from the new immigration law in the US state of Arizona that is established to tackle the estimated 12 million illegal immigrant Hispanics in the US.
Not even Dora the Explorer could be spared from the said immigration law, whereas, “she has taught millions of American children basic Spanish phrases on her Nickelodeon TV show” (news.bbc.co.uk). Hence, Dora’s alleged crime is illegal border crossing and resisting arrest, so to speak. Take a look at the edited mugshot of Dora below:
Several satirical articles have been roaming around the web, stressing on the police capture of Dora by the US immigration authorities. Dora’s picture even resides in Facebook, wherein she is seen “vaulting over the fence on the US-Mexican border“.
Curiosity has it but why would a cartoon character get involved in this kind of immigration matters? Personally, I find it amazing and at the same time funny. Spare Dora for the kids and Globalization’s sake.
Get over the “Dora the Explorer: Illegal Immigrant” thing and do much better ones
