Childhood Things that I Missed Enjoying
Posted on 08. Sep, 2010 by dimaks in News
When I was a kid, I never had the chance to enjoy many kinds of toys a usual growing boy can enjoy these days. Growing in a poor family takes some level of sacrifice and childhood cannot be considered as a luxury of sort. So to speak, I never experienced enjoying a wooden swing set, not until I reached high school where there was a students sports park. In there I was able to enjoy some games that I missed during early childhood.
Aside from being deprived of those swing sets, I was also unfortunate to play out with other kids in the neighborhood. Out of the fear that I might catch a fight, I preferred to stay home and read some of my favorite kiddie books. I also enjoy drawing so I spent most of my time drawing and painting.
Things have changed since then. We are now in some kind of technological advancement and many things can be availed via digital media. We got online stores, to cite an example.
So now that I can even buy wooden swing set for my kids, I will also make sure that they enjoy the things that I missed during childhood days. I can’t stand seeing them deprived of the things that I can actually provide. But of course it will come with relative moderation. I don’t want to spoil them at some degree.
How about you, what are the things that you missed during childhood? How did you coup up with it some years after?
