UFC Live: Brandon Vera

Brandon Vera was born on October 10, 1977 in Norfolk, Virginia. He is an American mixed martial artist. Brandon is of Filipino descent and is now one of the top light heavyweight fighters in the UFC.
BrandonVera’s father is Ernesto, a Filipino while his mother is an Italian-American named Amelia. Brandon got 9 siblings. He attended Lake Taylor High School and earned a 4-year athletic scholarship due to his very good skills in wrestling. But later on decided to drop our from the University he went in and entered the US Air Force.
From then on Brandon enjoyed a military wrestling career until 1999 when he tore ligaments in his right elbow. Eventually Brandon was ale to rehabilitate his arm and joined wrestling competitions on the East Coast. During that time a Brazilian jiu-jitsu Black Belt and coach Lloyd Irvin noticed his prowess and potential, thereby Irvin introduced Vera to Mixed Martial Arts.
On March 21, 2010, Brandon Vera is set to fight against Jon Jones for the UFC Live Vera vs Jones. Venue will be at the 1STBANK Center (formerly Odeum Colorado) in Broomfield, Colorado.
