Typhoon Ramil Threatens The Philippines

After the wrath of Ondoy, the Philippines is looking forward to a new calamity in the same form – Typhoon. This time, it is named as Typhoon Ramil and is exepected to hit the country anytime soon. Although PAG-ASA said that “it will not yet affect any part of the country in the next 36 hours or until tomorrow“.
PAGASA, in its 11 a.m. update yesterday, said that Ramil was located 980 kilometers east-southeast of Casiguran, Aurora or 780 kilometers east-northeast of Virac, Catanduanes or 15.2 degress north, 132.3 degress east.
It has maximum winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 150 kph and moving west-northwest at 13 kph.
This morning, it will be 700 kilometers east of Casiguran while it will be 470 kilometers eastnortheast of Casiguran or 520 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan by tomorrow morning.
On Tuesday morning, Ramil will be 240 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City. (tempo.com.ph)
