Terrifying Sea Creatures – Bathynomus Giganteus / Giant Isopod Photos. Seen the latest Terrifying Sea Creatures Found from the deep? It’s the Bathynomus Giganteus or Giant Isopod. The said creature lives in the Atlantic and Pacific waters. One of it was found after it surfaced along with a submarine that was doing some exploration of the ocean floor.
The Bathynomus giganteus or giant isopod feeds from dead whales, fish, and squid. They have been existing in the depth of the waters for so long and the scientists were well aware of their presence. At a quick glance, the terrifying monster creature looks like a cockroach, with crab or shrimp-like claws at its belly, while the whole of its body is enclosed in a huge cascade of scales.
