And The Pope Apologises to Ireland

Pope Benedict XVI Apologises to Ireland S-E-X Abuse Victims by Priests. As reported earlier, contained in the first ever public document issued by the Vatican on the subject of s-e-x abuse, the pope said:
I know that nothing can undo the wrong you have endured. Your trust has been betrayed and your dignity violated.
We are all scandalised by the sins and failures of some of the Church’s members.
I know some of you find it difficult even to enter the doors of a church after all that has occurred.
The above statements were among the contents of the Pope Benedict XVI letter of apology that was addressed specifically to Irish Catholics. The letter did not mention any other countries that have been stricken by the same scandal.
Pope Benedict XVI also announced about his intention to send Vatican officials for Apostolic Visitation in some dioceses in Ireland. However, the Pope’s letter only earned disappointment by the survivors of s-e-x abuse by priests in Ireland.
We feel the letter falls far short of addressing the concerns of the victims
Stated by Maeve Lewis, the executive director for the victims.
