Moving out
Posted on 25. Mar, 2007 by dimaks in Life
By tomorrow, I am supposed to move out from my dormitory to an outside apartment. It is by rule. The dormitory where I stayed for almost a year by this April 2007 only accommodates freshmen students for a span of one year and after that, students have to move to another dormitory or off the campus apartment. Then, a new batch will take the turn of living the said dormitory.
So given that condition, as early as 2 days before, that means Friday, I needed to start packing up the things in my room. I also threw out some kitchen utensils which are old enough to serve me for another round of a year, some empty boxes which I unknowingly kept for so many months and just ate space in my small room, some old newspapers and magazines, Japanese language class daily quizzes back from April last year and a load of cobwebs from under my bed and back of my tv. Ahh, also, I needed to scour extra appliances and utensils to be given to the new pinoy scholars coming this April. Thanks to this initiative. When I came here in Tsukuba, things such as fridge, microwave, oven toaster, rice cooker plus a lot of other useful nifty things were already waiting in place. In fact, I think a week before my arrival together with another pinoy fellow, pinoy scholars association already acquired and assigned such things us.
Too bad, it rained this morning and so, we postponed the moving to after midday.
Anyway, as I end this entry, it seems we will be proceeding by a bit late afternoon since until now (3:50pm), I still got no message from J and R.

awww.. moving out always makes me sad.. I dunno.. maybe because of the place and the people.. I experienced it for quite many times, moving from one place to another, leaving classmates, neighbors, apartments, rooms and even village guards, and without the assurance of seeing them again.. awww.. ang senti ko.. yikes! btw, i also have empty boxes in one of my drawers. sure they’re serving arachnids very well..

moving out for me is always a new beginning. throwing away old luggage, acquiring new ones. as for you, it’s like going to the next level. i hope you like your new place!

Hey, I hope you like the new place. My sister always raves about how cute and cozy her apartment in Japan was when she stayed there. I hope you’ll be doing the same.

Shai,
Thanks! tedious and too much calorie burns.
Cai,
I will definitely miss the view of the pond in front of my old dorm’s veranda with lots of ducks swimming and birds flying around plus the bull frogs in the night times.
angelblush,
Thanks. I agree to that.
verns,
awesome!
Thanks. Yes, we have Bayanihan here too
annamanila,
Hindi na freshman, yahoo! sad to move? I think no because my new room is I think too conveni and comfy. Everything in it is new.. shining aluminums in the kitchen, new faucet valves, lavatories and all. The smell of the tatami mats fills my room, smell of green and its good hehe.. Thanks by the way.
sexy mom,
Only that in our case here, we don’t throw out things unless they are completely broken. We have to pass excess household items onto other Filipinos coming to Japan time to time. And yes, I like my new place
Alex,
. And your sis is right.
Yes I do like my new place
Gypsy,
Thanks.. bigger place indeed, but just right
