Kafunsho

Kafunsho is what hay fever is called in Japan. Many people are actually suffering from Kafunsho for so long, ever since there was an en masse planting of cedars in Japan sometime in the 1950s.
Kafunsho is a pollen allergy. As you become engaged, you experience many uncomfortable things like frequent sneezing, red itchy eyes and sometimes they get swollen. At least from what I saw while on a study leave in Japan barely a year ago. So if you walk by the streets, you would see people wearing masks. For fear of getting infected with the said allergy, I and my family were also forced to wear masks. They are a bit discomforting to put on but better be safe than sorry.
While at that, Japan also developed several allergy relief options to take. Like for example the portable ionic purifiers that hang from the neck. There is also the anti-pollen sprays that you use for your fabrics.
Some of our friends advised us to take vitamin C always to be protected from Kafunsho. Good thing that at the span of years we stayed in the country, we did not develop the said pollen allergy.
