Insurance and the Hurricane States

There is a growing fear among the homeowners in the hurricane states, ranging from the amplifying insurance cost and the possibility of sudden change in the natural course of disasters occurring around. One of the leading questions is that, what if oil mixes with the flood waters? Will it be covered by what is stipulated in their homeowners insurance at hand?
There is this fact that in the said hurricane-prone states, homeowners got few choices in their insurance coverage – there are only eight (8) insurers that can be found in each state, controlling about 77% of market share.
While the hurricane season is running full swing these days, insurance beneficiaries need concrete and well-defined terms in their claims.
