Happy weekend!!!
Posted on 14. Apr, 2007 by dimaks in Life
I am blaming my mouse and keyboard today. They are both not working well, that’s why I ended up posting about bananas – dancing bananas to greet you a happy weekend!!!

Eat bananas, to enjoy the following benefits:
- healthy bowels (I kinda observed this)
- cardiovascular health (sounds interesting.. first time to know about it)
- protection from stokes (I suppose this is stroke, as this article would expound on it)
- protection from ulcers (as I am prone, makes me keep more bananas in my fridge)
- improve blood pressure (great)
- may boost mood (I assume, good mood)
- boost energy (and I heard, bananas can be relaxant)
- One average size banana provides enough energy for a 90 minute workout, and contains tryptophan that the body converts to serotonin, known to be a relaxant and positive mood changer (conforms to item #6). -Hrayr Berberoglu, 2005.
- And what? “One banana has four times the protein, two times the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and two times iron of an apple.” -Hrayr Berberoglu, 2005.
- help reduce water retention

This is true, Dimaks. In my gym, we’re encouraged to eat a banana before our workout. It’s a good substitute for a protein bar. And will keep us going during the next 1 hour or so.
Have a great weekend!

Now that’s what I call ‘green.’
I often see these banana guys as smileys on some forums. They’re kinda cute. I like bananas; sometimes, we make “ginang-gang” at home (do you know that?).
—————-
Actually, the graphics I used in here came from the forums, hehe. I don’t know “ginang-gang” in particular

So move over apples, bananas are here to stay. Make that old saying — one (apple) banana a day keeps the doctor away.
I have always preferred bananas (over apples) not only because we don’t have to import them but because they are definitely mas masarap.
Anyway, we’re in business, dimaks. Have you seen the reactions to my new header?

—————-
Yes, saw the comments. Sounds like a business lol.

Banana Split is yummier than peeling it fresh from the table. Those are true facts about bananas. Now I want one.
I like them with condensed milk.

They are good desserts

I have a post about bedtime foods and bananas are in that list. Bananas contain a bit melatonin and serotonin and also magnesium which is a muscle relaxant.
Hope you had a good weekend.
—energy source, as well as relaxant

There is some sort of give and take on that part I think
