Dimaks, I love this post, it can relate to me as well (not that I am married and have a son), about growing up as a normal kid – to play with cool toys (blame TV I suppose). I even cried one time to my parents asking to buy me “toys”, like battery robots with lights, etc. (nagkaroon naman sana kaso sharing)but you see, I did enjoy my childhood kahit gawang kahoy or lata lang yung otto-ottohan namin nun.

Now that I have pamangkins, ang toys nila are Xbox, Playstation, nintendo and PC (for games?) I’m like “wow, I should need one too”.

Meron naman akong kaklase… umiyak sya ngayong college kami kasi nasira yung gameboy nya. Noong sa Psychiatric Nursing namen we found out na wala pala syang childhood. Marami syang toys pero di nya pwedeng laruin, strict yung parents nya dapat aral lang sya. ayaw nya ngang ipakilala yuung girlfriend nya sa bahay kasi baka daw magalit yung magulang nya.

    K,
I agree, kids are very different these times. they have all the access to the techy stuffs, way far from what we can have during our early times :) now one thing i may not get bored would be PC games hehe.

    tina,
i saw my girl cousins doing the same.. they cut-out paper dolls and yes, no cost at all :)

    Richmond,
Mahilig ako sa syato noon.. patintero, tamang ok lang, hindi kasi ako agile noon bata pa ako. saklap naman nun kaklase mo, sabagay toy nya yun, pwede nya iyakan kahit kelan lol.

Kieth is lucky. He has all those wonderful toys waiting for him! Has he by any chance seen his blog?

Btw he’s a good looking kid, your Kieth.

I can imagine the excitement of a family reunited! First week of December, huh? So you think I can meet up with wifey before she leaves?

Yay! Kaswerte naman ni Kieth! Most kids naman can be really creative eh. Kaya even without toys, nakakalaro. Although of course it would have been great to have those toys.

Sa 1st week of December na pala dating ng family mo dyan. I hope they get to adjust well especially sa climate :)

    annamanila,
thanks.. Kieth has been repeatedly asking his mom, kung ilang tulog na lang daw ba bago sila pupunta dito. he haven’t seen this blog entry yet.

re: meeting them, i will try to communicate with wifey to arrange the time

    sasha,
    i hope so sasha.. thanks.

Great to hear that your family is coming to Tsukuba soon. Baka sakaling magkita-kita pa tayo before we leave for Christmas vacation. Ayan, may bagong kalaro na si Aya chan, hehe. :)

Same here with toys. I pamper my daughter with so much toys, because I didn’t get the same privilege when I was young. But sometimes I think she doesn’t really appreciate the value of each toy anymore.

    kathy,
hope so.. so where is the destination by this time? hehe. yeah, it will be good, am sure my son will be happy with his new set of friends here in tsukuba.

i guess they will appreciate the deeper meanings of those toys once they mature.

my financial situation as a kid wasn’t all that great, but it wasn’t that bad. we did go thru some (really) rough times.. but we somewhat managed to pull thru, alhamdulillah. =)

i love your son’s name! ^_^ and damn am i jealous of the toy collection. if i was a kid i would’ve dived into them or sthg. heheh
