Disability Insurance or DI is an insurance where a benefeciary is insured for possible disability in the future. DI includes benefits such as “paid sick leave, short-term disability benefits, and long-term disability benefits“.
So what are the types of Disability Insurance, you may ask! Read the items below:
- Individual Disability Insurance
- High Limit Disability Insurance
- Key Person Disability Insurance
- Business Overhead Expense Disability Insurance
- National Social Insurance Programs
- Employer-Supplied Disability Insurance (Workers’ Compensation, Other)
- Veterans’ Benefits
So among the list above, where does your disability insurance belong?
If you would like to avail one or two of the mentioned disability insurances above, better check with your local insurance broker or company. Most likely, they got a package or schemes that cater multiple insurance coverages.
