Camping in the Philippines

What do you know about camping in the Philippines? Are you a fan of this outdoor activity? Is it safe to do camping in the Philippines? These are the basic questions that have been running in my head for the past years or so and I could not seem to find satisfactory answers.
You see, I have been contemplating on having a short camping adventure here in the Philippines but I am hindered by so many things. First, is it safe? If it is in some areas, where are these places?
I’ve heard some good places in Batangas and Tagaytay but I have not been there to assess the area. But according to the happy campers, the place is pretty good and the access is quite convenient. There are issues though that came up – lack of adequate public toilets and bathroom, as well as good information facilities. Unlike what I have seen overseas, where you can just camp at almost every designated camping areas and you can have easy reach of the basic facilities.
Last time, I saw a family on TV whose camp trip were spent on a motor home and it looks great. I wish that I could do that here in the Philippines without the hassles of security issues and access to required facilities. By then, I would be willing to look for rv for sale online and do my own camping trip on a wheeled home-truck.
