With our car uncooperative last night, plus other things that prevented us from coming to the once a year All Japan Fireworks Display Competition (The Tsuchiura Hanabi) in Tsuchiura City, all we could do was go to my research laboratory by the 10th floor and watch the event happening from afar.

All equipped with my Olympus point and shoot digital cam, along with its mini adjustable tripod, my son and I enjoyed shooting photos and videos of the beautiful fireworks by the building window.
