sv3olwsignupintaglioimage That’s right, Google Docs Competitor will soon be released in full by Microsoft in the name of Microsoft Office Workspace. Microsoft Office Director of Consumer and Small Business Product Management Kirk Gregersen announced about the public beta of Microsoft Office Live Workspace to go live for the first set of people in the United States who pre-registered for the service at www.officelive.com. Along with the introduction is a community discussion forums on the Office Live Workspace Community site - for the early beta users to share their experiences and tell Microsoft on what to improve, as well as post any related questions.

Gregersen further stressed that the Microsoft Office Workspace is provided as an easy way for people to save their Office documents and other files on the web, share their work and collaborate with each other.

Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why Google launched its own side of the Beta Releasing activities under the guise of Google Chrome Browser? Maybe yes, maybe no.. for all I know, these two giant web and computing industries have been in races far more than I know of.
