My shutter side of sort

It has been years since I caught this budding interest on photography but the thing is, I could not bring it into full bloom due to many things. First, I never had the chance to own a digicam until 2 years ago. And when I got one, I had to buy what the novices should have – a point and shoot one. So far, so good with my Olympus FE-180 now and I think I am about to invest on a SLR type. I am not saying that I am getting bored with my gadget already but I guess, I gotta step up a bit or so to cater my taste on photography. I am getting engrossed!

There are things that I have been considering for the time being; handing my FE-180 to my son, so that at a young age, he can practice his “also budding interest” on photography. Yes, I have been seeing him so much enjoying in and outdoors whenever I hand him my digicam. He takes quiet a lot of photos. So I am thinking also of having a compilation of his shots and later on show it to him after 10 or 15 years from now. I think it would be cool and hopefully will become one of his inspirations to continue on a higher level. On the second note, I am planning to continue my long lost and forgotten hands on water color painting, get them digitally scanned and post them online. It’s been ages since I last stroked my paint brushes on a paper board. The last time I can recall is during one of the poster making contests in my college days. And crediting an idea from a friend (Jing), why not create a digital compilation of all my photos into videos? I think it is a brilliant idea and will save me from consuming large volumes of hard disk so, YES! in time.
I know it is cumbersome to give way to varying interests in life but if I can take them all simultaneously, why not, right? after all, it’s all about interest and the things that makes me happy, enhanced and growing.

So, actually, this is what happens while I am crawling with my graduate studies: I see to it that whenever I get out of the house, my FE-180 is clipped right by waist, take it out whenever I see interesting subjects, go home and download them into my desktop, do the necessary processing and upload them to my online photo album.
Ah yes, I am not addicted. Just slightly.
