2008 UAAP Season 71 Basketball Championship Finals Results: The Ateneo Blue Eagles won the UAAP 2008 Basketball Championship over La Salle Green Archers. The game was concluded today, September 25, 2008 at the Araneta Coliseum. The Blue Eagles were led by veteran shooting guard Chris Tiu with 16 points, thereby capturing the crown and ended the game with 62-51 against the Green Archers.

Congratulations to the Ateneo Blue Eagles for winning the 2008 UAAP Season 71 Basketball Championship Finals.

Woot? Dang, I’m a Lasallite and I always root for La Salle. Too bad they lost this year. Hope they win it next year. I miss watching these games on tv.

Woot!!! I’m an Atenean and this championship, like the last one Ateneo had, is that much sweeter since it was at the expense of bitter-rival La Salle! Despite the somewhat spotty officiating that affected both teams, it was still a nerve-wracking game since La Salle, true to form, came rampaging back in the 3rd qtr. Not enough to force a game 3 though, so too bad! Our turn to be on top of the UAAP!
