2008 Beijing Paralympics News & Updates: Iranian Participants

The Tehran’s Sports Desk announced through Tehran Times that Iranian Paralympians will fly to Beijing on Friday (Today, August 29). The 73 athletes will take part in the prestigious battle on sports worldwide. They will be participating in 9 events, namely:
- Sitting volleyball
- Wheelchair basketball
- Judo
- Shooting
- Table tennis
- Track and field
- Powerlifting
- Goalball, and
- Football CP
The flag in the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Paralympics is going to be Iran’s Javelin thrower Mohammad-Reza Mirzaei.
As a general information, there will be more than 2,500 referees plus more than 4,000 journalists and media technicians will conglomerate in Beijing for this another grand world event.
