Download and Convert Youtube Videos Into Playable Offline Files

Do you know How to Download and Convert YouTube Videos and the like from other video sites into Playable Offline Files? Do you want to download those videos and convert them into avi, wmv or mpeg file? Fine! you can do both with this easy step by step tutorial. But first, let us know How To Save YouTube Videos (Flash Videos – FLVs)! Well, here is a couple of sites that will enable you to do so.
1. Go to http://www.downloadyoutubevideos.com/ -In the text box, paste the url of any youtube videos that you found.
- Next, click the “Download” button on the right.
- A page will open up with the preview of the video you are going to save, plus a download link that says “Download Video“. Right click on it and choose “Save Link As“. Save the file as “.FLV“. Change the “get_video.htm“ into “yourfilename.flv“.
- Wait for the download to complete. Afterwards, you will be needing a FLV file player or viewer.
- Download any of the following free FLV players.

- You are done. Enjoy your downloaded videos or movies!
2. Another tool that I am using is located at http://keepvid.com/ -Just like the first online tool above, paste the url of the video or movie you want to download into the URL input box then press “Download” button.
- After doing so, you will be brought to a new page with two (2) download and file format options:
.. Download (get_video.flv – Low Quality)
Right-click download link, choose “Save Link As” and rename file to yourfilename.flv
.. Download (video.mp4 – High Quality)
Right-click download link and choose “Save Link As” to download
- Choose file format that you like.
- Done!
Now let’s proceed onto converting your saved FLV files into avi or mpeg.
3. Download any of the converters below.

- Free FLV Converter 5.2 Download Now (5.13MB)
4. Install your chosen FLV converter. Enjoy!
Now I am guessing that after a few hours from now or a bit later, you already have compiled a whole lot of videos from those video sites

I’ve downloaded videos from youtube before but have had trouble converting them from flv. It could be b/c I’m using a mac.

Here is a great site to download videos from youtube , simply search videos and click on download button to download (FLV link to download low quality videos and MP4 link to download High Quality Videos), no need to copy and paste video urls, a great, simple and easy tool for video down loaders.
