Dropping by for a short nostalgic post: Cat Stevens – Lady d’Arbanville. A blog pulse I would say, indicating that I am still around roaming around your blog sites. Have a nice day!
This was inspired by Stevens’ girlfriend, actress Patti D’Arbanville. She was also an inspiration for Stevens’ songs “Wild World” and “Hard-Headed Woman.” D’Arbanville went on to have an affair with Mick Jagger.
Patti D’Arbanville also married (and divorced) Don Johnson, with whom she has a son, Jesse. She played Rayanne’s mom on the TV show My So-Called Life. (thanks, Morgan – Eugene, OR)
A live version recorded in Tokyo is on Stevens’ 2001 Boxed Set. Stevens, now known as Yusuf Islam, stopped making secular music in 1979, but eventually decided that he was proud of his old songs and released them in the compilation. (Source: Songfacts)
