Squid express
Posted on 15. Jan, 2007 by dimaks in Life
Spending my saturday afternoon away was nevertheless a nice one, even though this uninvited cough I’ve been having since the night of friday last week is really annoying. This freezing air might be the biggest factor in it. But anyway, I already went to the nearby drugstore “たらしま” (Tarashima) – about 12 minutes by bicycle from my dormitory and bought medicine. After taking like 6 tabs (3 tabs per take, jap meds usually come in low milligrams), I already felt the healing effect. The 40 something oldman drugstore attendant surprised me with his english. He spoke well (with the slight british accent) and so, I was forced to switch to english mode
He even gave me 2 sachets of free vitamins – that was nice, and I thanked him.
Anyway, so what’s up with the squid express above? Well, that was my lunch dish last saturday (Jan. 15). It is actually a nameless recipe. I don’t know what it is called since the idea of cooking it just came to my mind instantaneously. So, can you guys suggest a name of it for me? The ingredients are pretty common, and so as the cooking procedure – you know, the usual saute and fry thing then add this and that, simmer, etc.
Contained in this unnamed recipe were the following:
- medium-size squids
- tomatoes
- string beans
- string onions
- onions
- green peas and corn
- eggplant
Seasonings are salt, black pepper powder and turmeric powder. I used olive oil in cooking this dish.
My weekender entry
…and wishing you all a bright and healthy week ahead.
‘hope this cough will squid away ASAP.

And here I am thinking that you went there to study Engineering and not on how to become a chef.
Sabagay, maybe it can be a sideline.. lol

I am actually trying not to be monotonous with my stay here in Japan. There were a couple of other things I intended to do in my early days here; joining martial arts and calligraphy club. But then, my intensive jap language course hampered it. So many things, less time.

Dimaks ayaw mo nun…may ganun sha na factor…witchy! hehe but yes the Little Mermaid is one of my favorite Disney animated movies
By the way I would like to share this one…Glady’s Guevarra, I don’t know if you know her but she’s a singer/tv personality, has a business she named Goto Republic. They’re selling different types of Goto. Anyway she calls one of their Gotos “GOTOHELL” kasi spicy yung goto na yun hehe La lang..funny kasi ng name at the same time catchy. So probably everytime somebody orders it and the waiter serves it, sasabihin ng waiter ” Sir, gotohell” hrhrhrhr
@Prab— hehehe that’s it if they they ursula hehe

Jan 17th, 2007
I know GG (not galunggong hehe)
