I lingered
Posted on 16. Nov, 2007 by dimaks in Blogging, Life

Yes, I did.
I may have stated before that some things got broken, or in a way, to that effect. But there is what we call “glue” to stick shattered pieces things up together again and continue the quest. The initial feeling was, there is no point to continue blogging. While time seem to have been scarce (as always), there have been too many things to deal with than spending time to write blog entries and attend to comments thereafter. At least, the minute experience taught me that this task is quiet addicting.
The travel may never be the same as it used to be but at least the continuity is there. Losing the drive to do things is but elemental in any struggles. Enduring the pain comes in the middle and reviving the dried seeds of going on is not the end part but rather a joint towards a brand new road to traverse. People behind my blog rolls may have seen me wandering around their virtual homes for a while – indication that I did linger instead of putting a total halt to my blogging journey. I really had to stop and think a while. Now that I made a brief “comeback”, I wish for brighter perspectives, inspirations, faith and of course energy to perform the underlying tasks.
To those who dropped comments and even sent personal emails (you know who you are), thanks a lot! Your kind words of encouragements and wishes of good tidings somehow made my way back not so tough.
So what else? Ah, you probably noticed my new graphic header up there; I made it while halfway to making this benchmark blog post. I hope you guys like it, along with my new template.
Well, there have been so many things to blog about. Things have piled up really, plus winter is almost here and my family will hopefully join me by the first week of December. I still have to fix a lot of things concerning their trip. I don’t really know how they would face the season for the first time. As I can recall, I suffered from minor nosebleed, disgusting skin dryness, a come and go flu and this weird static electricity that I emit every time I touch any metallic or plastic things around me. I am kind of having a phobia and I hate the feeling. Anyway, I wish them good in everything as they are about to venture the life of being in the land of the rising sun.

I am glad that you lingered or whatever it is that brought you back to us, your blog buddies.
What you have felt, I have felt too. I have asked myself — What’s the point to blogging? why blog. But also why not?
We blog to be heard. To express (creatively). To vent. To share. To touch base with like minded people, even different minded ones who are really the ones who help us grow.
Wow, galing ng new theme header. Parang Gotham City.
Ganun ba ka-severe ang winter dyan? Maybe you ask your wife to consult a doctor before coming here?

This is a good start, re-vamping the free hosted site will motivate you to be once again “addicted” – but really, I’ve said (and done this many times) and I always go back, blogging becomes like a hobby, and part of of being in a virtual world.
Just continue what you like to blog, we are always here to wait and visit.
Welcome Back, dimaks! At least nadagdagan ng smart commenter ang blog ko ulet.
Take care and I’m sure your family will enjoy the visit.

glad to have you back on board dimaks!
i suffered the same coz it was winter when i first came here. you may want to let them bring high dose vitamin C and E (which is a rare find here in tsukuba),as the body will be in a big stress and to at least shorten duration of colds if not to prevent it and virgin coconut oil (for skin) to hydrate the skin.
cool graphics!

annamanila,
i will treasure the wisdom for sure. I agree on your perspectives and reasons to blog. after all, we don’t want to grow old like a dry leaf on the pathway.
i always forget that kind of analogy – if there is an “a”, there is probably “b” in the hypothetical sense
last year’s winter was not that severe according to the locals. am not that sure though this time around. anyways, thanks for the suggestions.

K,
hey K! the only difference is that i still got this freely hosted blog, which i think is enough for me now (no matter how i wanted to turn in into a revenue earning one, hehe). but i guess time will tell. thanks for the bright thoughts and for considering me as one of your smart commenters.

i haven’t been active at blogging, too. i know the feeling… and it’s always a convenient excuse to say i have other things, more important ones, to do.
but i guess more than being a medium for me to express myself (and i suppose this is true to us all), blogging has become part of life, of who i am, as other bloggers are not just regular commenters, but have become good friends as well. i can’t let them go. and stopping may mean just that.
so i thought maybe i’ll just blog at my own pace… no pressure. time and again, something worth blogging about comes right out of the blue. so i write. in between, i’ll just take a peek at who’s writing what.
keep on.
