    sasha,
i actually noticed it last night.. this is kinda, err.. i dunno really. let alone do their craft anyway – its theirs. it’s just so disgusting to my taste you know.. its just a link back to your blog/website.

Dimaks, this is a new feature for blogspot. It’s a plugin used to subscribing comments via email. The purpose is to stay in a conversational loop on any post you have commented in.

I don’t like this feature. Even on WordPress user (wordpress.org), even if I didn’t choose to subsrcibe, it automatically gets into my email. And now my inbox is like being attacked by spams.

So Google account is the default email account should you wish to subscribe to the post via email.

I have read at TechCrunch that they are introducing Open IDs, similar to Livejournal and Typepad yata…

Strange, i seem to remember leaving a comment similar to this one… deja vu :)

Yeah, I liked it better when people’s username could be linked to their blog. But i suppose you can always put your link in the comment text box instead. the old way was better though. :)

    K,
ah so that’s what it is. what will happen is, either you subscribe to email or you comment as anonymous.. lol

    sasha,
even then, i really feel a great sense of exclusivity there :)

    Wil,
putting your link within the comment box means inserting html code, which can be inconvenient at times. i agree, the old way + this new one that enables email subscription (by force) could be a better deal.

This is why I hate Blogger.

I noticed it few days ago and I even commented in one blogger blogs, why Blogger hates other blog sites/blog hosted sites..lols!! paano marami ng mayroong sariling domain..not to mention that these bloggers who opted to buy their own domain are using wordpress as a blog tool.

ang tawag dito e kanya-kanya at ayaw nilang tumaas pa ang page rank ng mga non-blogger user.

    sa tingin ko lang.

meaning di nyo na malagay yung mga url’s nyo when you comment? kaya pala… wala ng link to your site. inconvenient nga.. makes me want to get my own domain name na and use wordpress instead.

I noticed that too, dimaks. though I’m a blogger user, I used their ‘other’ option before because it links directly to my website rather than my profile. but now it’s gone. don’t know why.

Google is being really puritanical these days. And Google owns Blogger so they’re starting with that. sabi kasi nila they’re just trying to protect their PR algorithm from being skewed due to a lot of spammy commenting. dami kasi nag-eexploit ng comment links to enhance their PR. a lot of pundits say na instead of doing all these things (penalties on text link ads, ppp, and now removing comment links in blogger) google should just improve their algorithm to negate these things. Not sure if this is feasible but it’s a good heads-up for google.

    Ade,
I don’t know but ever since, I never had the feel of using blogger too. The javascripts loading give my browser huge lags.

    manilenya,
so you mean, this is just a market language? hehe

    tina,
tama ka :) kanya-kanya na tayo ngayon hehe.

    monaco ,
oh well, at first i thought that i was just having some browser errors or something :) yun pala, totoo yung naisip kong may malaking pagbbago sa setup ng blogger.

    annamanila,
madali lang maglipat kung konting gamit lang ang dala mo hehe. but im sure many people around the blogoshpere can lend help.

    Javi,
ahh that’s enlightening! thanks for pointing it out. i also happened to read somewhere that blogger is also being used as a host for those revenue generating ads. but then either way, i feel some sort of exclusivity as a wordpress.com user. btw, thanks for dropping by. hope you come back again.

i know!! i was so confused too when i tried to comment on someone’s blog yesterday.

    what happenned:
    *type type type comment*
    *scroll down*
    *pause*
    *blinded by so many boxes*

it took about half a minute to make sure the correct box was filled in 0_o

im ‘slow’ already as it is. they just had to make things even more confusing. lol

I guess Blogspot wants exclusivity. Just checkin’ out other WordPress blogs. My first post in WordPress.
