Eye to Eye

It is said that eyes are the windows of the soul. It is through the eyes where you may choose to hide a side of your being, but since they are like bare mirrors – they reveal your unspoken thoughts and ideas. With all the glories that our eyes may bring, they still got be taken care of. Especially to those required by circumstances, it be work related or something else. Like in my case, I spend almost the whole of my day facing a LCD monitor, absorbing all the rays of radiations coming out. Though the last time I checked with an optometrist, my vision is perfectly fine, but was advised to use protective eye wear after knowing the nature of my work. I was cool with the advise, my wife brought a minute side of the thing. We then agreed in thought that maybe, the doctor just wanted a buck from us. Why so? Well, here is what the doctor tried to do:
She checked my eyes using the initial machine they usually use in the first stage of diagnosis and I was told that my eyes got grades. My wife then suggested a re-examination, doubting that perhaps the negative result was just caused by tears. The doctor agreed then I was asked to enter the room where you get to read the random letters written in different sizes. I passed the reading exam with flying colors. Knowing that her first finding was incorrect, she gave a 10% discount on the eye wear that I had to buy, plus a couple of freebies – eye cream and a cute sign pen. Not bad
