Cogon Grass

When I was in grade school, cogon grass is quite widely growing in my place. It was really irritating and persistent. You cut it now, and a few days after it’s there again. Until one day, a school project made something good out of them. Well, this is how it happened – we used to have artificial christmas trees at school during yuletide season and for that particular year, me and my group were assigned to do one. It will be the official entry of our section in the Christmas tree making contest. And guess what? We used the persistent cogon grass to build a simple yet stunning Christmas tree, and won the first prize.
Lesson learned: Not all irritating things are irritating at all in every side of its being. If you try to go around it and contemplate, you will find out that you can actually turn things around, flip or review and benefits might just be waiting down there to be discovered. Coupled with one’s patience and creativity, there is more to things than how it basically affects you.
