Today’s Google Doodle shows a painting which I suppose, of Norman Rockwell, a 20th-century American painter and illustrator. Rockwell’s works gained popularity in the United States, especially with his cover illustrations of everyday life scenes for “The Saturday Evening Post” magazine for over 4 decades long. Among the best known works of Rockwell are: Willie Gillis series, Rosie the Riveter, Saying Grace (1951), and the Four Freedoms series.
A bit on history bits brought by Google with its Google Doodle series: Birthday of Norman Rockwell.

That’s really cool, nothing like showing our appreciation for people from the past.
I really like your logo, it’s different.

The Google Doodle took me by surprise until my Norman Rockwell website received a huge traffic spike. It was a pretty cool experience to see my previous highs completely blown out of the water.
Rockwell deserves all the accolades, too. He was one of the most popular artists of the twentieth century. Any time a persons name becomes an adjective, he has made a huge impact on the nation’s consciousness.
Thanks for making Rockwell more popular!
